Lu (Lewis) Li awarded 2021 ASSP Foundation Grant

Chicago Chapter Member, Lewis Li CIH, CSP, continues to impress in the ASSP. A safety engineer with CRRC Sifang America in Chicago, Lewis was recognized as the 2020 Chapter Safety Professional of the Year for his participation with the Chapter and for his dedication to ensuring safe operation in Chicago’s re-invigorated railcar manufacturing industry. Most recently, he was voted in as the 2nd Vice President of the Chapter for the 2021-22 Chapter year. Now, he was awarded the Greater Chicago Chapter Professional Education Grant of $1,000 to help complete his M.S. in Occupational Safety Management at the University of Central Missouri. The Greater Chicago Chapter Professional Grant & Scholarship are designed to assist professionals and students of safety achieve their professional and academic goals. Whereas the chapter provides the fund, awardees are determined by the ASSP Foundation Board, an entity separate from the Chapter Executive committee.
