Key responsibilities of your job

I am responsible for supporting the University’s educational and research mission by protecting the community and environment through health, safety, and security program development and implementation, promoting and fostering a safe campus environment, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

What or Who inspires you

My team inspires me. They work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure the safety of our staff, faculty, students, visitors, property, and environment through training, hazard identification and mitigation, security details, emergency planning and management, technical and regulatory guidance, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Most Meaningful Professional Achievement

My most meaningful professional achievement is building a highly skilled and versatile team of safety and security professionals. Their efforts have yielded impressive reductions in injuries, illnesses, incidents, and lost time while outperforming BLS national benchmarks and peer institutions.

Future Career Goal or Aspiration

My long-term career goal is to achieve a position where I can influence organizational culture and shape policy to create environments where safety is not just a requirement but a shared value.
